Girot, if your speaking of the above game, 'Zpocalypse" done by 'Greenbrier" I dont know.
However, in the past, WF did say that 'all' of "their" Sci-Fi and Fantasy as I recall, i.e. S.T. as well as Amazon's, Orc, Skel's and the Zombies would be in Heroic scale. Personally, other than the 'improvements' planned to make the Skeletons more durable and easier to build, Im hopping they would be "True" scale.

Fair enough.  I did buy a box of the existing Zombies and they are definately not Heroic Scale.  Don't get me wrong, they're still badass!  But I'll be doing up different sized bases with larger and larger groups of them.  This way I can simply treat them as Swarms (easier for setup, combat, cleanup, etc).  I wrote a Z-Day one-shot module for Dark Heresy awhile back that these models are PERFECT for.

No worries. {^_^}

IMHO "Heroic" scale is ok for somethings, but I prefer to "keep things realistic". I know, "How can you be "real" and do Sci-Fi OR Fantasy?
For Ex. 'when' they release the Near Future Soldiers (like the 'Colonial Marines of the Alien' series or "Starship Troopers"), I would like them to be w/in proper size perspective. In that way, they could then be used w/ the civilians or WF current zombie sets.

It sounds cool, Best of Luck

I hope to build my own 'fanasy ancient Undead Army' (home rules). Unarmed Germanic and Celtic troops for zombies; its also why Im watching for the skeleton improvements  to take place. I think Numidians the best way to go for a generic Imagi-nation defending Army and or 'regular' Germans/Celts as the villager defenders.

Oh I'm totally for compatability between WGF kits.  Half the fun of wargaming is kit bashing.  But pretty much anything I buy and take the time to model and paint is going to end up being used for a sci-fi roleplay of some kind.  My interest in "heroic scale" is due to the fact that I RP almost exclusively in the 40k universe and half my garage is full of 12 years worth of bitz that need purpose, lol.  Don't get me wrong this won't prevent me from buying these kits.

I've recently had some expirence with the Numidians and I feel they have some great potential!  I'll try throwing some zombie bitz on the bodies I have left over and see what happens.

No worries. {^_^}

Make no mistake, I love the classic "modern day" look of the Zombie from all the B-movies, and the Zombie set is cool. And I'd LOVE to see a "Police / Law Enforcement" set to go with it, but either way I bet they do make for some great games.

How Ever...
somehow a 'fat dead guy in a LAB COAT", or a guy (equally dead) in his "BLUE JEANS", shambling across the field to attack your 'ancient' european village..   just dont cut it. LOL
I have great faith that WF other ancients, "sans" their weapons will make for great undead.
On that.. I have been bouncing ideas for rules but maybe I should start my own 'thread' on that topic, so not to get "off topic here" and take up space.

Apocalypse Survivors are being worked on now.  We're shooting for a 10-man sprue (well, 4-men, 4-women, 2-children) with one basic weapon each plus a sprue of "survivor weapons" ranging from clubs to assault weapons.  Sprues will be 6" x 8" (about double the Shock Trooper wprue size).  The box should contain 30-figures, be compatible with the new Apocalyps Zombies and Apocalypse Marauders (post-apocalyptic motocycle gang) so you can mix and match a ton of stuff.

This idea sounds great!

Just as long as there are enough weapons on the sprue to make heavily-armed super-survivors, Fallout style grin I might even get some mileage out of them as militia, or "Penal Legion" / guerrilla-insurgent types...

It sure does, we only have to wait a few more years :) and I'll be excited then too.

everyone,

Power suit armor by DreamForge, MANUFACTURED by WF:

 Eisenkern Stormtroopers (20 man)

It IS a little more expensive, I agree, BUT think about having Shock Troops face Iron Core Eisenkern Stormtroopers - oh the possibilities!!!!

Funny, I don't see any jump packs, y-rack bomb throwers, hand flamers, or an armored suit capable of ripping a safe door off its hinges... looks more like a take on a Japanese sci-fi Jin-Roh stosstruppen wearing an M1935 stahlhelm... nice, but no cigar.

I got a box of Eisenkern Stormtroopers through the Kickstarter, they are great!

People's demands for fugly gorilla suits aside, plans are in the works for the Eisenkern Heavy Troopers and from what I've seen, Dreamforge Games have done a fantastic job on the 3D renders for them. If they hold up to the same standard as the Leviathan and the various Stormtrooper kits, I'll definitely be getting some of them as well. Congrats Dreamforge / WGF on a great job!
I'm thinking of using them as counts-as Marine allies for my WGF Shock Troops Guard army... when the heavy troopers make their debut, that's my Termies taken care of

Flen, I'm not disputing the excellent production quality of DreamForge's efforts; I took a look at the heavy troopers, and sadly, while they are very nice, they're a far cry from my wayward L&UL proposal for a Powered Armor Suit. In all honesty, they're a different take on "gothic" sci-fi space knights, complete with medieval helmets and giant swords. Not my cup of tea, hence what in part motivated me to float my little L&UL proposal so long ago...

tonaituh,

Looks like Apocalypse survivors with extra shields from many different WGF kits would allow you to make great figures for a diorama or gaming of this confrontation. The police can be WW-II with cut off spears for batons, and there are plenty of shotguns available also if you mix kits.

Are you thinking of a game here? I find the shields very interesting as the police rubber bullets will be almost useless - it makes me think medieval warfare has returned - very apocalypse for sure.

Jim

As a point... neither side is trying to actually murder the other there. The police are definitely not using the lethal force they could be. So what works there may not work elsewhere.

Having said that, since your average zombie is only attacking with hands and teeth, some improvised armour would not go astray, especially if they're the infectious type of Z. A tough, rip-resistant overall, good gloves and boots and a bike helmet would be good.
