Hmm well guess I better post this  then.

SPRUE TITLE: GENERIC PIKEMEN (30-YEARS WAR)

SET DESCRIPTION: 6-8 marching pikemen. Generic uniforms and an assortment of different hats and helmets.

Pre-ordered a few sprues. Got to say, these are sorely needed. Metal pikes are impossible and the only plastic kit is mostly muskets (3:1 ratio of shot to pikes)

Frankly, a Renaissance plastic pike set would probably be a solid starter. It's a shame you can't do more varieties of pikemen though, but the differences in their wear varied greatly outside the Reneissance.

Metal pikes are doable if you use steel wire for the pikes. However, glueing that to the hands of the figures in a durable way can be quite tricky, due to the limited surface area.

As for the plastic set from Warlord, AFAIK that has a 2:1 ratio of shot to pikes, which is a pretty historical average ratio for the ECW/TYW period.
